World Explorers

Explore the world and learn about different cultures and people around the globe. Program includes reading, activity, and discussion. Each month features a different country or region. This month we travel to Egypt. Recommended ages 6 - 8. REGISTER

This program developed by Jane Goodall is a youth service program which helps empower young people to become leaders who build a better world. The mission of the program is to foster respect and compassion for all living things, to promote understanding of all cultures and beliefs, and to inspire each individual to take action to make the world a better place for people, other animals, and the environment. Recommended ages 5-8.

Learn about Thula Thula Game Reserve in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa and their conservation work. Write gratitude letters and pictures for the rangers and animals. Registration required.

Snowy Scene LEGO Contest

Help us decorate our display case for the month of January! Registrants will be able to create a snowy scene out of LEGOs (no larger than 6x6 inches) and then library patrons will vote on their favorite! The winner will receive a free LEGO set. Drop-off at the Children's Desk between January 2nd-6th for your submission to be considered (must be registered).
