Dawn Marron has organized experienced local coupon clippers to share their tips and techniques to cut spending and enjoy shopping. The New Cumberland Public Library will host Couponing for Extreme Savings on the third Saturdays of the month in the Meeting Room of the library building. Workshops are free and open to the public. Donation Station

donation station1 pm - 3 pm in the Lower Level Parking Lot
The Friends of Fredricksen will hold Donation Station on the first Saturday of each month to accept donations of books and media for their Book & Media Sales. To drop off donations, please park in the lower parking lot off Walnut Street close or near the sidewalk. Donations of one box or less can be brought to the Reference Desk whenever the Library is open. Thank you for thinking of the Friends when you have extra books.

Travelogue: The Way to Santiago

Learn about the Camino de Santiago, a network of routes taken by pilgrims for the past eleven centuries to arrive at Santiago de Compostella in Galicia, Spain. Enjoy learning about how to walk the way, what you might see, experience, and learn about. Nothing can prepare you for the way as most of the journey is experienced within.

Summer Concert on the Lawn - Trinidad & Tobago Baltimore Steel Orchestra

Join us on Fredricksen’s lawn all summer as we welcome talented performers for an evening of music and song. We will kick off summer with our annual concert with Trinidad & Tobago Baltimore Steel Orchestra as they bring a touch of the Caribbean to the library. This stunning group, named Baltimore's official steel drum band, are masters of the steel drum. Their vivacious tropical music rounds out a lively show for all ages!

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets! Our Teen Advisory Group will be selling popcorn and refreshments or feel free to bring your own. All concerts are free to the public. Concerts are held on the west lawn next to the lower parking lot. No registration necessary. Sponsored by McCormick Family Foundation.

Moving Forward Book Group: Our Beating Hearts

Join us for Moving Forward, a book discussion series geared towards those who have suffered a loss or tragedy and could use an infusion of hope. In cooperation with Hospice of Central PA, we will be reading books focusing on the redemptive power of the human spirit. Join us this month as we discuss Herd Alan Midkiff’s memoir "about remembering and accepting that often our lives are changed forever in ways we wish they weren’t. But as we put the broken pieces back together, healing does come, and we can begin to imagine a new journey that lies ahead.” Ages 18 +. You must have read or listened to the book to attend.
