CPBB Monthly Blood Drive

10am-5:30pm on Walnut Street alongside the Children's Library

Come and donate blood to the Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank – the bus will be parked along Walnut Street near Fredricksen’s lower parking lot. Registration is inside the library’s lower- level lobby. Call CPBB 1-800-771-0059 with questions or to schedule an appointment; though walk-ins are welcome, donors with appointments will be taken first. A form of ID is required to donate.

Philosophers’ Roundtable

2 pm in the Community Room

This round table discussion will apply the Socratic Method to help delve into philosophical discussions and give you an opportunity to share your opinions in a neutral and respectful way without interruption. Each month, the group will choose a philosophical issue and everyone attending will have the opportunity to learn and discuss with others in an open and respectful environment. What a great way to expand your mind and reach further with your thoughts! Ages 18 +.

Zen Meditation

1st & 3rd Wednesdays, 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. in the Small Meeting Room 

Are you looking for a way to reduce stress and anxiety while also improving concentration? Led by Ev Hawley, a meditation teacher affiliated with Red Rose Sangha in Lancaster, we will gather in community for silent meditation. The second half of the program will feature a brief talk about meditation related topics. This program is for adults and no registration is necessary.
