Zen Meditation

1st & 3rd Wednesdays, 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. in the Small Meeting Room 

Are you looking for a way to reduce stress and anxiety while also improving concentration? Led by Ev Hawley, a meditation teacher affiliated with Red Rose Sangha in Lancaster, we will gather in community for silent meditation. The second half of the program will feature a brief talk about meditation related topics. This program is for adults and no registration is necessary.

Holiday Mosaic Montage on Tuesday, November 18 at 6 pm

Holiday MosaicCost: $25 per person. Create a lovely holiday-themed mosaic montage of a snowman, gingerbread man, or Christmas tree. For ages 14+. Stop by the library or call (717) 486-3688 to register.

(Full) Wooly Poinsettia Class for Adults

Wooly PoinsettiaRegistration for this program is full. Materials cost: $20 per person. Create a beautiful trio of poinsettia flowers to go in your choice of either a log slice or painted cone holder. You will choose this as well as flower colors on the day of the class. For ages 18+. No experience is necessary. Bring a lunch if you wish. Light snacks will be provided. Class size is limited. Sourdough Bread MakingRegistration for this program is full. Cost: $10 per person. Learn all the ins and outs to making your own sourdough bread! Lauren Horvat from "Starting All Things Sourdough" will be leading this learning session teaching all the tips and tricks to making your own delicious loaves. Come prepared with your questions and leave with your own starter kit! Your starter will be active in a few weeks time, just in time for the colder months and soup season. For ages 14.

Embroiderer’s Stitch In

1st Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Community Room

Join in this gathering of embroidery enthusiasts for an afternoon of working on your own project. Bring a cup of tea and plan to share ideas and inspiration with other stitchers. Learn some needlework tips, tricks and trends in the craft of embroidery. Don’t have a current project? Just come and be inspired to start one! No registration necessary.

Playing cards is the perfect balance of fun, logic and socializing. Plus, it's great exercise for your brain -- memorizing cards, making quick decisions, analyzing odds, learning visual cues, and working with teammates. Card games vary and are determined by those present and ready to play!
