Come and donate blood to the Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank – the bus will be parked along Walnut Street near Fredricksen’s lower parking lot. Registration is inside the library’s lower level lobby. For the Love of Groundcovers  

Ian Gardener of Green Gardener Designs will give an introduction on poison hemlock identification followed by the presentation For the Love of Groundcovers. Ground covers play an essential role in a garden. They function as a green mulch to prevent weeds and retain soil moisture, as well as tie the plant community together both visually and ecologically. Come learn about how to use these under-appreciated native groundcovers to improve not only your garden but your local ecosystem!
