We are hosting our first LEGO fan building event. Register to display your own build themed on a book and compete for prizes. Or you can just stop by to stroll through the library to see the incredible builds. Registration for displayers is required.

Builders will compete in the following groups: Family Build, Junior Builder (ages 8-12), Teen Builder (13-18) and Adult Builder (18+). Additional details including size limits for builds is listed on our Eventbrite page. 

1:30 pm, Community Room
Board games are fun for everyone, so come drop in and play with us! We will have games available to play, but please feel free to bring your own too! It's always fun to share a game you love. All ages are welcome; ages 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult. No registration necessary.

7 pm, Community Room
Using a planetarium computer program, we explore the night sky here at home and anywhere in the world. The program will include how early people mapped the stars and catalogued them with names we still use. Facilitated by Lou Thieblemont, Resident Astronomer for Viking Ocean Cruises. Registration required.

Do you have some unanswered gardening questions and don't know where to turn? Just stop over at Fredricksen Library anytime from 6 to 7:30 pm every Tuesday evening (May 2 – August 29). The Master Gardeners from Penn State Extension will be there eagerly waiting to solve your gardening mysteries and help you to have the best garden possible! No registration necessary.  

1 pm, Outdoors in the Courtyard
This Japanese practice, known as forest bathing is a relaxation technique to destress, calm the mind, and improve well-being. Presenter Justin Ferko, a certified forest bathing guide, will lead the workshop that includes a closing tea ceremony. Participants should be prepared for being outdoors. Registration required. Did you know that early embroidery can be traced back to 30,000 B.C.? Join the Susquehanna Chapter of the Embroiderer’s Guild of America and learn a little about the fascinating history of the craft as well as current trends. There’s also an opportunity for participants to try their hand at a stitch or two. Anyone with an interest can join in the fun, even if you’ve never stitched before! Kits are provided. Registration required.
