6:00 pm – 7:30 pm in the Community Room, Lower Level

Join local photographer and instructor, Michael Yatsko, for this 4-week class that explores a different photographic topic/concept each week. Classes will begin with an explanation of the topic along with looking at some examples. After that we will spend the remainder of class practicing these techniques.

Week 1: Lens Ball/Water Droplet Photography - learn about the concept of refraction as it applies to photography by creating unique photos using small crystal balls and water droplets.
Week 2: Panning/ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) - learn how to create dynamic action shots and creative abstract photos by intentionally moving the camera while shooting.
Week 3: Aerial Photography - learn the ins and outs of drone photography, from how drones work, safety, rules, how to become a licensed pilot, shooting and composition techniques and picking out your first drone.
Week 4: Light Painting - learn how to create unique photographs that are both challenging and fun to make by using long exposures and flashlights.

Class Requirements: Prior completion of Intro to Digital Photography Class OR a solid understanding of the exposure triangle (aperture, shutter speed, ISO) and your camera’s focus modes.
