Cannery Row by John Steinbeck 

Cannery Row (1945) focuses on the acceptance of life as it is: both the exuberance of community and the loneliness of the individual. Steinbeck interweaves the stories of characters in this world, where only the fittest survive, creating a novel that is one of Steinbeck’s most humorous and poignant works.

Welcome to an evening of music in a special tribute to Shea’s brother, Shawn, front man and lead vocals in the band, The Pikers (1979-1981). Band members joining the performance include: Daryl Beam/guitar, Frank Shafner/keyboards, Kirk Hassinger/drums, Rosemary Boyle/vocals. This is a happening you won’t want to miss! 

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets! Our Teen Advisory Group will be selling popcorn and refreshments or feel free to bring your own. All concerts are free to the public. The West Shore Symphony Orchestra will present Renaissance “Fare” on Monday, June 23 at 7:00 pm. The program will feature traditional Renaissance sounds and themes by modern British & European composers alongside great works of the Harlem Renaissance:  Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway and more!  Featured singer soloists will be students from Lebanon Valley College and Susquehanna University, Xavier Bates and Destiny King. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy!
