This round table discussion will apply the Socratic Method to help delve into philosophical discussions and give you an opportunity to share your opinions in a neutral and respectful way without interruption. Each month, the group will choose a philosophical issue and everyone attending will have the opportunity to learn and discuss with others in an open and respectful environment. What a great way to expand your mind and reach further with your thoughts! Ages 18 +.

What is a Death Cafe? It is a safe, supportive and informal gathering where people can chat openly about death, dying, and grief. The Café offers a space for sharing thoughts and feelings, asking questions, and connecting with others in your community, all while enjoying light refreshments like cake and drinks. Come as you are and feel welcome to participate in the conversation at your own comfort level. Facilitated by Philadelphia native Isaiah Troche, an End-of-Life Doula/Death Doula who also serves as a volunteer with Hospice of Central Pennsylvania.

Read books that challenge your curiosity and sleuthing abilities. Join in an engaging discussion as we uncover secrets, follow leads, and thrill in the footsteps of sometimes quirky and always resolute crime solvers. Ages 18+. 

November - Fox by Joyce Carol Oates (2025) 

Francis Fox is a charming English teacher new to the idyllic Langhorne Academy with a very enigmatic biography. When two brothers discover Fox's car half-submerged in a pond in a local nature preserve and parts of an unidentified body strewn about the nearby woods, the entire community, including Detective Horace Zwender and his deputy, begins to ask disturbing questions about Francis Fox and who he might really be.

Led by Ev Hawley, a meditation teacher affiliated with Red Rose Sangha in Lancaster, we will gather in community for silent meditation. The second half of the program will feature a brief talk about meditation related topics. This program is for adults and no registration is necessary.
