Monthly Blood Drive

Come and donate blood to the Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank – the bus will be parked along Walnut Street near Fredricksen’s lower parking lot. Registration is inside the library’s lower level lobby. Call CPBB at 1-800-771-0059 with questions or to schedule an appointment; though walk-ins are welcome, donors with appointments will be taken first. A form of ID is required to donate.

Philosophers’ Roundtable

This round table discussion will apply the Socratic Method to help delve into philosophical discussions and give you an opportunity to share your opinions in a neutral and respectful way without interruption. Each month the group will choose a philosophical issue and everyone attending will have the opportunity to learn and discuss with others in an open and respectful environment. What a great way to expand your mind and reach further with your thoughts! Ages 18 +. The group typically meets the second Monday of each month.

Enjoying Birds in Our Backyard

Learning to Attract, Identify, and Appreciate the Birds Around Us 

Monday, February 17; 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. in the Community Room 

Learn the essential techniques of bird identification and ways to attract a variety of birds to your yard.  Take a look at some of our common backyard birds and learn about some interesting birds often seen right here in Camp Hill.  The program will include a look at a few of the many excellent apps available to jump start your birding skills and deepen your appreciation of birds. 

Facilitator Ann Fruth has had a life-long interest in birds studying them in books, on-line, and in the field for 30 years.  Her studies have taken her across the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii, to Canada, through many parts of Africa, to Antarctica, the Galapagos, and South and Central America.

Practice your interview skills with an HR professional! This 30-45 minute session will consist of a simulated interview for a position you are interested in and an evaluation offering strategies for improvement. Dress for the part, do your research and come practice your interview skills!
