Children interested in reading practice can sign up to read to a therapy animal. Caring Hearts Pet Therapy program seeks to improve a child’s reading and communication skills with the assistance of trained therapy animal teams. Children are encouraged to read, engage, and connect with the pet. Bring your favorite book or two to share with one of our animal friends. Registration for a 20-minute reading slot is required and space is limited.

Quilling is an art craft that uses strips of paper to create colorful designs. Join the Library in this crafting class to learn some basic paper rolling techniques to make an ornament to take home that will brighten the holidays. Free, all supplies provided. Class size is limited, so please register by December 1.

It’s getting cold outside! Come warm up on Zoom with a story of one woman’s delicious stew that she shares with her whole neighborhood. Afterwards, write a thank you letter or draw a picture for someone you appreciate in your life.

Join us for our last fall storytime series where we will share stories, songs & rhymes! Storytime teaches social skills, listening comprehension, letter and number recognition, and vocabulary. We’ll have fun while building a foundation for reading success. Each family will receive an individual bag containing a scarf and shaky egg which must be returned at the end of the session. In the event of nice weather, we may elect to hold these storytimes outside!

On the third Thursday of every month we invite teens in grades 6-12 to participate in planning new programs and help come up with activity ideas! Come tell us how we can make the library work best for you to serve your needs throughout the school year. Please remember your masks! Register here.

For teens in grades 6-12. Every month read a book of your choice that has been featured recently on BookTok, and on the last Thursday of the month we will get together to have a casual group talk about what we’ve read! If you are reading something that you love that hasn’t been on BookTok, that’s okay too! All lovers of reading are invited to participate. Please remember your masks and register online, here!
