While the weather is still warm, join us on the library lawn for stories, rhymes, music, and more!

Storytime teaches social skills, listening comprehension, letter and number recognition, and vocabulary. We’ll have fun while building a foundation for reading success. Each family will receive an individual bag containing a scarf and shaky egg  to use during storytime to prevent mixing germs. Please bring your own blanket and chairs. In the case of inclement weather, we will conduct the storytime via Zoom. Registration required.

Ages 0-2

Join us for short books, fingerplays, songs, and bounce rhymes for a child’s first introduction to library fun in this storytime for crawlers, cruisers, and walkers! Following storytime, babies and caregivers will have the opportunity to engage in casual free-play with our age appropriate toys. 

Held on the library lawn in warm weather (65 degrees or higher) or indoors if cold or rainy.

It’s been a busy summer, with children flying in and out of the Library! We have a collection of unclaimed take & make kits, extra kits from programs, and grab & go STEAM. Come pick out a kit from our “unclaimed baggage” collection. Most kits are recommended for ages 3-7 and are first come, first serve while supplies last.

For children of all ages
Stop in the children’s room to complete our “Tails” scavenger hunt. Locate a variety of different animal tails around the children’s room. Complete the scavenger hunt and turn it in at the children’s desk for a sweet reward!

The Summer Olympics are in full swing and showcasing the world’s most elite athletes. Stop in the children’s room and pick up a fun Olympics-inspired craft and activity sheets to complete at home!

For TEENS 13-17
Register to pick up a kit filled with action packed superhero activities including a DIY lava lamp, custom magnets, and superhero comics activities! Register for the Teen Super Tails Kit beginning July 5. Registrants will receive an email with instructions on how to pick up their kit at the Library the week of July 19.

For TEENS 13-17
